Man Accidentally Shoots Himself In Park Meadows Mall

LONE TREE, CO — A man accidentally shot himself Sunday in Park Meadows mall. People who were shopping nearby ducked for cover when the shot rang out.

A man with a concealed carry license accidentally shot himself in the leg while he was inside the mall, Lone Tree city officials said.

Some witnesses said they were terrified when they heard the loud bang and then saw a man on the ground, according to social media posts.

The man was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.

There was no further threat to the public, city officials said.
