National Night Out: 11 Parties To Be Hosted Across Littleton

LITTLETON, CO — Nearly a dozen National Night Out parties will be hosted in Littleton Aug. 6. The events will offer community members to hang out with members of the Littleton Police Department.

The largest event of the evening will run from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Ketring Park outside the Littleton Museum. Families will have the opportunity to meet officers from patrol, K9, Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT), Special Enforcement Team and School Resource Officer teams. Many types of police vehicles will also be at the party, and gear will be handed out to children. Food trucks will also be at the event.

National Night Out started in 1984 and has since swept across the nation. It is an annual event in all 50 states, U.S. territories, Canada and military bases worldwide, involving more than 15,000 communities and 37 million volunteers, residents and civil servants.
