Police Investigating Fatal Shooting In Englewood

Police are searching for four suspects.

ENGLEWOOD, CO — A man was killed and another man was injured in a shooting behind an Englewood church Sunday, police said. The Englewood Police Department is searching for four suspects.

The two victims were shot during a robbery attempt in the 3600 block of South Bannock Street, police said.

Four men, who are believed to be in their 20s, drove away from the scene at about 2:30 p.m. in a white, 1998 Chevrolet Impala, according to police. The car may have a broken window on the rear passenger side.

One of the victims, whose name and age have not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene. An 18-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to his neck and was taken to an area hospital. His condition is not known; however he was able to describe the suspects' vehicle to police.

Englewood police are investigating surveillance footage.
