2 In Custody After Road Rage Shooting In Littleton: Police

At least three cars were damaged by gunfire on Santa Fe Drive Sunday evening, police said.

LITTLETON, CO — Two people have been arrested after shots were fired on South Santa Fe Drive near West Belleview Avenue Sunday night, Littleton police said. No injuries were reported; however three vehicles were damaged by the gunfire. The north lanes of South Santa Fe Drive were closed in the area Sunday night while police investigated.

Police were called to the area at about 6 p.m. after a disturbance was reported. A road rage dispute between drivers in a newer-model BMW SUV and a gray pickup truck escalated and someone in the truck fired shots at the SUV, police said.

The same pickup truck was linked to a highway shooting on Interstate 25 and U.S. 36 in Adams County Sunday evening, police said. Several cars were shot just after 7 p.m., the Adams County Sheriff's Office said. No one was injured. Two people were taken into custody.
