Shoplifter Running From Littleton Target Collapses, Dies: Sheriff

LITTLETON, CO — A man collapsed died after stealing from a Super Target in Littleton Thursday, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.

The man's body was found near the intersection of West Bowles Avenue and South Flower Street, close to Southwest Plaza, the office said.

“While fleeing, he collapsed and died,” the sheriff's office stated in a tweet.

The department said there's no threat to the public, and the death doesn't involve a shooting.

The office asked the public to call 303-277-0211 if they saw anything suspicious in the area at about 1 p.m. Thursday.

The Jefferson County Coroner's Office will determine the man's cause of death.
