Surveillance Video Released Of Littleton Bike Shop Burglary

LITTLETON, CO — A surveillance video has been released of a burglary in late July at BikeSource Littleton. Three suspects drove a van into the glass doors of the shop and stole three bicycles worth a total of about $13,000, according to a Bicycle Retailer report.

The video shows a white van backing into the shop. Three suspects in hoods and dark clothing run to the back of the shop, and appear to come back empty-handed. The burglars then grab three bikes at the front of the shop and run back out the front door with them.

The van that was used to smash the shop's front window was stolen from the National Sports Center for the Disabled, according to the Bicycle Retailer report. The van was found by police in downtown Denver Aug. 2, and was impounded. The organization has been borrowing vans from other groups until a replacement can be found.

No one was in custody. The burglary remains under investigation.

A BikeSource store in Highlands Ranch was burglarized several times last year, with more than $35,000 worth of bikes stolen.
