Trail Temporarily Closed for Highway Construction

The public will not be able to use Mary Carter Greenway Trail as CDOT demolishes a bridge

From The City of Littleton: Beginning in mid-February, the Mary Carter Greenway Trail will be closed TO ALL USERS to accommodate the demolition of the eastbound South Platte River Bridge, part of the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) C-470 Express Lanes Project.

The trail closure is expected to last four to five weeks. Flaggers will be on site and detour information will be posted on CDOT'S project website. Detours begin at Mineral Avenue to the Highline Canal or Wadsworth underpasses.

The closure will be followed by intermittent flagging operations and another complete closure for two weeks near the end of April. South Platte Park, including the south entrance, will remain open to local use. Carson Nature Center staff can help with directions during the closure.
For project information call CDOT's 24-hour hotline at 303-347-0507, or email C470info@flatironcorp.com.
