Twilight Criterium Bike Race Returns To Littleton

Pro-speed races around Historic Downtown Littleton under the streetlights for prize money, and a cruiser race for the whole family.

LITTLETON, CO – Littleton Twilight Criterium speed bike race returns to the city Aug. 4. The event will feature seven high-speed races, including men and women's pro racing, around a closed-circuit course through historic Downtown Littleton from 3:30 - 10:30 p.m.

"Criteriums are great fun for spectators because you can walk around the entire course and see racers fly by every few minutes at nearly 30 miles per hour, in very close proximity to one another," the Littleton Rocks website says.

The 0.8 mile course attracts some of the best riders in the nation, with top riders competing for cash prizes. Final top men's and women's races are under the lights after sunset. The event is part of both USA Cycling’s National Calendar, and the top-level USA Crit Series. There's even a cruiser race, where anyone on a bike, young or old (with helmet), can ride the track. The event also features food trucks a beer garden and kids events.
