Western Welcome Week's Grand Parade Canceled
Western Welcome Week organizers are working on revising and scaling back the annual celebration, and the parade has been canceled.
LITTLETON, CO — The 92nd Western Welcome Week Grand Parade has been canceled amid the spread of the coronavirus, organizers announced. Other activities and concerts during the event have also been canceled or changed to accommodate public health guidelines.
Western Welcome Week is held each year in support of dozens of local non-profit organizations. This year's celebration, scheduled from Aug. 7 to 16, includes many events in and around Littleton.
"We continue to monitor the evolving COVID-19 situation and are making adjustments to our event schedule as decisions are made," organizers said. "We are busy planning and make contingency plans as needed for the 92nd Western Welcome Week 'Past, Present, Future.'"
