Wind Crest Opens the Dirty Arts Room to Inspire Creativity and Connection
The Dirty Arts Room offers residents a dedicated space to explore ceramics, glass, and jewelry making.

Wind Crest, an Erickson Senior Living community in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, has opened its newest creative space, The Dirty Arts Room. The studio is located in Dillon Landing, the final independent living building, which opened last year on the community’s scenic 84-acre campus.
The Dirty Arts Room offers residents a dedicated space to explore ceramics, glass, and jewelry making through both instructor led classes and open studio time. The space encourages residents to learn new skills, express themselves creatively, and connect with neighbors who share similar interests.
“Creative expression is an important part of a vibrant lifestyle,” said the Wind Crest Resident Life Director Terri Dankelman. “The Dirty Arts Room provides residents with the tools, space, and support to explore their talents and connect with others while doing something they love.”

Equipped with tools and materials generously donated by resident artists, the studio supports a variety of hands-on projects. Residents can create ceramic pieces such as bowls, vases, and sculptures, as well as glass and jewelry items using techniques like cutting, shaping, and inlay work.
The Dirty Arts Room reflects Wind Crest’s ongoing commitment to lifelong learning, resident-driven programming, and meaningful community connections. With nearly 200 clubs and groups on campus, residents have abundant opportunities to engage, create, and connect.
