Woman Dies After Littleton Apartment Fire
A woman was trapped in a Littleton apartment that caught fire, authorities said.
LITTLETON, CO — A woman has died after she was pulled from an apartment fire Wednesday morning in Littleton, fire officials said. The woman was trapped in an apartment and bystanders couldn't get her out.
Someone called 911 just after 4 a.m. and South Metro Fire Rescue arrived at 2901 West Centennial Drive to find flames fully engulfing the first floor apartment and exterior stair case, officials said.
A total of 76 personnel and 39 units responded to help rescue residents and battle the fire.

The woman was found inside the apartment and taken to Littleton Adventist Hospital, where she later died.

The cause of the fire is under investigation but appears to be accidental, fire officials said.
The woman’s identity and cause of death will be released by the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office pending notification of next of kin.
