Steamboat Springs School District data technician receives 2026 Summit Award (steamboatpilot.com) — A Steamboat Springs School District data technician has earned a statewide Summit Award for creating a Medicaid billing system that's expected to bring in about $180,000 a year for local schools. The project helps fund a bilingual family liaison, an additional school nurse, and ongoing mental health support, with the district also donating $1,000 to a local school or foundation.
3. Chili Challenge was a spicy success (steamboatradio.com) — Downtown Steamboat Springs just wrapped up its 2026 Chili Challenge at the final Farmers Market, with Q Live Crew BBQ and The Laundry Kitchen & Cocktails taking top honors. Steamboat Springs vs. Roosevelt: Colorado High School Girls Volleyball, Oct. 2, 2026 (chsaanow.com) — Steamboat Springs High School's girls volleyball team heads to Roosevelt with a 5-6 overall record and a 2-2 mark in the 4A Western Slope, looking to build on a one-match win streak. 5. About our RHTP Awardees (colorado.gov) — A Steamboat Springs pediatric practice is among dozens of rural providers sharing new state funding aimed at strengthening health care in small Colorado communities. The Rural Health Transformation Program awards will support telehealth, emergency services, behavioral health, and workforce development, meaning local families could see expanded services and better-connected care close to home.
