$1 Million Powerball Winner Sold In Connecticut For Monday's Drawing

CONNECTICUT — A lottery ticket sold in Connecticut in the Powerball game is now worth a cool $1 million.

The CT Lottery posted the winning numbers after Monday night's drawing.

The numbers are 19-29-35-36-45 and the Powerball number is 16.

One ticket sold in the Nutmeg State matched all five numbers for the $1 million prize, CT Lottery officials said. The ticket did not include the Power Play option. That would have doubled the prize to $2 million.

Powerball is a multi-state game with a minimum jackpot of $20 million. The jackpot is based on sales in the "current environment," CT Lottery officials said. Drawings occur Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at approximately 10:59 p.m.

Powerball tickets cost $2 each with the Power Play costing an an additional $1 per wager.
