An intelligent, powerful and diverse group of women from a variety of professional fields will gather for the 15th Annual Women in Business Virtual Summit (WIB Summit) on July 30 & July 31. The Summit provides a platform for a diverse audience of women at the start of their careers, entrepreneurs, and business veterans to receive both professional and personal training, advice, and networking in a goal-oriented environment.
“Women have shifted a great deal since COVID and many have had to manage work, home schooling and running a business all from home,” explains Kisha Zullo, president of Events of Joy and founder of the WIB Summit. “We are thankful to have an impressive array of engaging and dynamic speakers, and now that we have shifted to a virtual format, we have created an opportunity for our audience to hear from more of our speakers. It’s an exciting time to connect with our community across the world.”
The Summit kicks off on Thursday, July 30, 6-8 PM with a VIP reception, and continues on Friday, July 31, 8 AM – 1 PM with keynote speakers, expert panels, and an executive roundtable. The Summit will focus on four key areas: Leadership & Career Advancement, Money Management, Personal Development, and Entrepreneurship. The ongoing impact of coronavirus-related business closures and social distancing will also be part of the conversation, with perspectives provided by expert speakers.

Women in business, according to a 2019 Forbes article highlighting research done in the Harvard Business Review, are stronger together. The study points out that while both men and women benefit from having a network of well-connected peers across different groups, women who also have an inner circle of close female contacts are more likely to land executive positions with greater authority and higher pay.
Girls for Technology has been selected as the WIB Summit’s nonprofit organization to be highlighted this year. This organization provides project-based and leadership development for pre-college girls, hoping to relieve the fears and uncertainties around a primarily male-dominated field.
