2 Children Thrown From Golf Cart During Accident: Report

NORTH CANAAN, CT — Two children were thrown from a golf cart and one was flown via LifeStar helicopter to a hospital, state police said.

At 4:35 p.m. on Saturday, Troop B Troopers responded to Lone Oaks Camp Ground in North Canaan for a private party accident. The driver and two juveniles were in a golf cart traveling on a dirt road when the driver lost control of the golf cart, causing both juveniles to be ejected, state police said.

Both juveniles were conscious and alert on scene with non-life-threatening injuries. One child, three-years-old, was taken to Hartford Hospital via LifeStar and the second child was taken by EMS to Charlotte Hungerford Hospital for minor scrapes, state police said.
