5 of 25 Selections Named to All-Century Girls Basketball Team

The CIAC has selected the top 25 high school girls basketball players in Connecticut history, and is naming 5 per week for the next 5 weeks.

CONNECTICUT — In celebration of its 100th anniversary, the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference (CIAC) has compiled a list of the 50 greatest high school basketball players (25 male, 25 female) into an All-Century team. Over the next five weeks, the CIAC will release five female and five male honorees each week.

Players are listed with their name during their high school career, their graduation year and school. The All-Century teams were compiled with input from past and current coaches, veteran high school basketball writers and others closely associated with Connecticut boys and girls basketball through the decades.

Selections were made strictly on the player's high school career, not necessarily on their later accomplishments in college and/or pro ball. Players selected to the teams are not ranked in any order; rather, the CIAC is releasing five names weekly at random.
