KENT, CT — A male hiker was seriously injured in a fall from a cliff Thursday afternoon, according to state police.
Emergency personnel were sent to the area of St. Johns Ledges on the Appalachian Trail, off of River Road, to find the fall victim. State police, Environmental Conservation police, and emergency medical personnel responded.
William Flood, spokesman for the Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection, said the victim was transported to New Milford Hospital.
The fall happened around 2:15 p.m. Thursday. The victim's condition as of Thursday afternoon was not immediately available.
