As of Friday afternoon, Stop & Shop's website showed that the "website and app are currently unavailable and we're working to restore services as quickly as possible."

The site thanks customers for their "patience and understanding" and directs them to shop via DoorDash, Instacart and Uber Eats.

Stop & Shop President Roger Wheeler said there is no evidence to show customer data was compromised in the cybersecurity incident.

The full statement from Wheeler is below:

"We are truly sorry for the inconvenience caused by this temporary outage of Stop & Shop's app and website. I want to assure everyone that our stores, pharmacies, and fuel stations are open to serve you - and that our team is working around the clock to resolve this as quickly as possible. There is also no evidence that any customer data has been impacted. To help express our sincere gratitude to our customers for their patience, we are offering all shoppers 10% off their next in-store purchase starting today through Thursday, October 22nd, up to $10 off. Just check in at the Savings Station at your local store, and the discount will be applied. Again, we are grateful for the understanding and support."
