Brew Pub In Historic Putnam Train Station Closes Suddenly
The railroad-themed restaurant at 45 Main St. had operated in Putnam since 2013.
PUTNAM, CT — The Crossings Restaurant & Brew Pub has shut down and dissolved its business entity, according to a statement from the restaurant and filings with the Connecticut Secretary of the State.
In a social media post, the restaurant said the closure was sudden and unexpected, explaining that the landlord decided to take back the building the business was leasing. The restaurant did not say why the landlord chose to terminate the lease. The business’s website has already been taken offline.
The owners said all employees will receive their final paychecks and that the business is working to address outstanding gift card balances. Customers were asked for patience as those issues are handled.

State business filings also show ownership changes in the months leading up to the closure. In August 2024, Niko Tresca was added as a member of the company while James V. Guillot was removed. That filing was signed by Sean P. Sullivan, who remained listed as a member. Another filing in November 2025 shows that Tresca later stopped being a member of the company.
Patch has reached out to the restaurant’s owners for additional information. This article will be updated if more details are provided.
