CANTON, CT — The Town of Canton Fire and EMS responded to a reported structure fire and possible explosions at Dowd Avenue and Route 44 late Thursday morning.
Initial reports indicated multiple explosions at the location, Canton firefighters said.
Upon their arrival, fire crews discovered a greenhouse on fire in a rear lot of the property, Canton Fire & EMS reported.

Due to the nature of materials stored within the structure, the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) and the Farmington Valley Health District have been notified.
