Connecticut State Police Fireworks Video Says It All
At start of Independence Day holiday, state police Friday released a convincing video on the dangers of illegal fireworks.

With Connecticut and the country about to celebrate another Fourth of July holiday weekend, Connecticut State police have released a telling public service announcement on the dangers of fireworks.
The PSA, called "Keep it Legal, Keep it Safe," essentially spells out the legalities of Connecticut fireworks laws, namely that explosive fireworks are illegal, but certain sparklers are.
Ultimately, police said they want folks to enjoy legal, professionally produced fireworks shows instead of the backyard variety.

Some of the 1-minute PSA's most visually compelling moments are when a manequin made to look like a child is severely damaged by common, explosive illegal fireworks.
"Connecticut State Troopers remind residents that fireworks should be left to the professionals," reads a state police announcement Friday afternoon.

"Everyone wants to enjoy the lights in the sky for the 4th of July, but please avoid using pyrotechnics at home. There are many fireworks shows scheduled throughout Connecticut – these are the safest way to celebrate the birth of the U.S.A."
