Coronavirus CT: In What Direction Are The Case Numbers Trending?

These are the latest numbers of COVID-19 cases, hospitalizations, deaths and positive test results in Connecticut.

CONNECTICUT — The number of coronavirus patients in hospitals throughout the state took a huge dive Wednesday, as the positivity rate continued to stay under control.

There was a drop of 56 beds, bringing the total number of Connecticut residents hospitalized with the virus to 770, the lowest it has been since Nov. 15. Total cases climbed by 888.

The Department of Public Health reported a daily positive test rate of 3.1 percent, and there were 28 more coronavirus-related deaths in the latest set of numbers overnight.
