A 10-year-old has been hospitalized after he was ejected from a car in a Friday evening accident, according to police.

WOLCOTT, CT — A 10-year-old child was seriously injured when he was pinned under a car following a crash in Wolcott on Friday night, according to police. A Ford Focus was traveling north on Woodtick Road at about 7:30 p.m.

The driver crossed the center line and turned abruptly to get back into the correct lane but over-corrected and went off the road. The car landed on its side.

There were two adults and eight children in the vehicle, according to police. Three of the children were in the hatchback area of the car.
