CT Coronavirus: Infection Rate, Hospitalizations Rise Again
Connecticut's positive test rate and hospitalizations are moving in the wrong direction.
CONNECTICUT — Connecticut’s coronavirus positive test rate jumped up to 7.66 percent Tuesday after another 2,332 cases were reported. The state also saw a second day in a row of increasing coronavirus hospitalizations with a net gain of 38 patients up to 1,149 beds.
The state is only days away from surpassing 200,000 identified cases — there are currently a total of 196,968.
Another 24 deaths were reported, which brought the state total up to 6,192.

- Hartford: 113
- New Haven; 89
- New Britain: 85
- Stamford: 80
- Waterbury: 80
- Danbury: 71
- Bridgeport: 69
- East Hartford: 62
- Meriden: 56
- Bristol: 54
