CT Coronavirus Infection Rate Remains High, Town-By-Town Updates
Connecticut's positive test rate — an indicator of spread — remained high Wednesday.
CONNECTICUT — Connecticut saw another day of an elevated coronavirus positive test rate Wednesday, but hospitalizations dropped after multiple days on the rise.
The state reported 2,486 new coronavirus cases and an 8.55 percent positive test rate. Hospitalizations dropped by 10 patients down to 1,139.
Another 38 coronavirus deaths were reported as well, which brought the state total up to 6,230.

The municipalities with the most new cases over the past week are:
- Hartford: 690
- Stamford: 606
- Waterbury: 576
- New Haven: 525
- Bridgeport: 524
- New Britain: 453
- Danbury: 451
- Norwalk: 428
- Meriden: 398
- East Hartford: 288
