CT Coronavirus Updates: Hospitalizations Drop Significantly
Here is a look at the number of coronavirus cases, deaths and people tested per town in Connecticut.
CONNECTICUT — The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Connecticut increased by 147 to 46,206 over the past 24 hours and the number of COVID-19 related deaths rose by 4 to 4,311.
The number of hospitalizations dropped by 21 to 106 over the past 24 hours. More than 12,000 tests were administered over the past 24 hours.

Fairfield County: 15,968 confirmed cases; 638 probable cases; 1,070 confirmed deaths; 305 probable deaths; 35 hospitalizations.
Hartford County: 10,882 confirmed cases; 676 probable cases; 1,056 confirmed deaths; 313 probable deaths; 24 hospitalizations.

Litchfield County: 1,419 confirmed cases; 63 probable cases; 116 confirmed deaths; 20 probable deaths; 1 hospitalization.
Middlesex County: 1,226 confirmed cases; 61 probable cases; 143 confirmed deaths; 39 probable deaths; 9 hospitalizations.
New Haven County: 11,881 confirmed cases; 394 probable cases; 919 confirmed deaths; 150 probable deaths; 35 hospitalizations.
New London County: 1,179 confirmed cases; 62 probable cases; 76 confirmed deaths; 26 probable deaths; 1 hospitalization.
Tolland County: 836 confirmed cases; 70 probable cases; 50 confirmed deaths; 14 probable deaths; 0 hospitalizations.
Windham County: 592 confirmed cases; 7 probable cases; 13 confirmed deaths; 1 probable death; 1 hospitalization.
Pending address validation: 242 confirmed cases and 10 probable cases.
Breakdown of cases by age:
Of the 46,206 total cases thus far, 6,895 involve people older than 80; 4,367 between 70-79; 6,474 between 60-69; 7,807 between 50-59; 6,510 between 40-49; 6,549 between 30-39; 5,530 between 20-29; 1,320 between 10-19; and 645 between zero and nine.
Breakdown of deaths by age:
Of the 4,311 total cases thus far, 2,586 involve people older than 80; 941 between 70-79; 526 between 60-69; 173 between 50-59; 56 between 40-49; 21 between 30-39; 4 between 20-29; 1 between 10-19; and 1 between zero and nine.
