CONNECTICUT — Connecticut's average gas price rose to $4.13 per gallon last week, which marked the second straight week of double-digit price increases.

Gas costs four cents more than last month and $1.18 more than last year, according to AAA.

Connecticut's average price is lower than the national average of $4.19 last week, largely thanks to the state suspending the 25-cent excise tax through June. Gov. Ned Lamont's budget proposal calls for extending the tax suspension until Dec. 1.
