Attorney General William Tong supported the measure, stating that behavior like excessive speeding is among the "brazen lawlessness (that) puts all of us at risk and cannot be tolerated," according to NBC CT.

In one particularly egregious case, a Bloomfield man is accused of hitting 190 mph on a motorcycle, then uploading footage of the reckless driving on social media.

Other notable incidents in March include a driver in a Mercedes-Benz rental accused of weaving in and out of traffic at speeds of over 100 mph in Manchester.

A 21-year-old man was charged in a separate case when he hit 105 mph on I-84 in Farmington and West Hartford as well, police said.
