WATERBURY, CT — A winning Connecticut lottery ticket worth $1.6 million was sold recently at a retail store in Waterbury, lottery officials announced Wednesday.

The ticket for Connecticut's Lotto! drawing was sold at BJ's Wholesale Club, located at 344 Reidville Dr.

Connecticut's Lotto! jackpot starts at $1 million and grows until it is won. Drawings are held on Tuesdays and Fridays at 10:38 p.m. Players can check their numbers here.

All draw game prizes expire and must be claimed within 180 calendar days from the date of the drawing, according to lottery officials.
