CT Man Killed When Truck Strikes Tree; ID Released

A man is dead after his truck left the road and struck a tree in Winchester on Wednesday afternoon, according to state police.

WINCHESTER, CT — A man died after his car struck a tree on Route 8 in Winchester, state police said.

Kenneth Martin, 32, was driving a 2011 Dodge Ram northbound on Route 8 at exit 55 at 12:12 p.m. Wednesday.

For an unknown reason, the truck left the road, went into the grass median, and hit a tree.

Martin suffered fatal injuries and was declared dead at the scene of the accident.

The case remains under investigation.
