CT May See Severe Storms During This 7-Hour Period Thursday
The National Weather Service said severe thunderstorms, strong wind gusts and large hail are all possible Thursday.
CONNECTICUT — Another day, another chance for strong-to-severe storms throughout Connecticut. It appears the chances are a bit more likely Thursday for more widespread storms than what we saw on Wednesday.
WTNH News 8 Chief Meteorologist Gil Simmons said "Mainly quiet weather for the morning hours today and I need you to make sure you pay attention to what happens this afternoon. There is a severe thunderstorm threat for the afternoon between 3 PM and going into the evening until around nine or 10 PM. During the daytime today it will be hot and humid with intervals of clouds and sun. Highs in the 80s to around 90° but the heat index in the 90s! It’ll clear out late tonight and tomorrow with the humidity dropping a little bit."
