CT Meteorologist Makes Career Announcement
A WTNH meteorologist said this will be his last week at the station.

CONNECTICUT, CT — Ryan Munn, a freelance meteorologist for WTNH News-8, tweeted that this will be his last week with the news outlet.
"I am beyond grateful for the opportunity I had to work in my home state," he tweeted. "I will miss EVERYBODY I work with and everyone that has followed me on this journey."
Munn grew up in Enfield. He said he's always wanted to work in his home state and was "extraordinarily thankful for the opportunity I had."

Munn said he has a "new and exciting announcement to make on the next step of my career soon."
He joined WTNH in August 2021. As a kid, Munn was always fascinated by snowstorms and severe weather, according to his bio. At a young age he aspired to learn about all aspects of weather with an interest in keeping his family safe.

Ryan went to a local community college and graduated with a degree in liberal arts. He then transferred to Western Connecticut State University where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Meteorology.
While at WestConn, Munn completed an internship at WTNH in 2018. He started his career as weekend meteorologist and weekday reporter for WABI TV-5 in Bangor, Maine in 2019, according to his bio.
