CT Nears 1 Million Coronavirus Tests; No Deaths Reported Tuesday

There have been nearly 1 million coronavirus test results reported in Connecticut.

CONNECTICUT — Connecticut on Tuesday reported another 40 coronavirus cases out of nearly 11,000 test results for a low positive test rate of 0.37 percent.

Connecticut is getting close to the million-test plateau. The state surpassed 990,000 tests on Tuesday.

There were no reported deaths Tuesday. Hospitalizations increased by five patients up to a net of 47.

A total of 51,255 people have been diagnosed with the coronavirus and 4,456 people have died since the pandemic began, according to state statistics.
