CT News Personality Dennis House Finds New Role: Report
The veteran news anchor, who left WFSB-TV in the summer, is turning to teaching.
CONNECTICUT — Dennis House, the popular news anchor who left WFSB-TV in the summer, will be a visiting fellow by the University of Saint Joseph in West Hartford where he will teach digital media, he announced on his website Tuesday.
The Hartford Courant writes that the position is part-time, and House will begin the stint in January.
House was at WFSB-TV for more than 25 years when he surprised fans with the announcement of his departure.

"Words cannot express how grateful I am to have served the great state of Connecticut as a journalist for 28 years at WFSB," House said in a statement at the time. "The station has meant so much more to me than just a job. I've grown up here. The people who work here are my family. I met my wife here (Kara Sundlun), became a father here and suffered the tremendous loss of Denise D'Ascenzo here. The special report that night was the most challenging moment of my career. Being half of the most successful and longest running anchor team in Connecticut television history was a great honor."
House will teach with Prof. Pablo Correa, creator of the university's new media offering, according to the Courant.

Recently, House has done some fill-in shifts at WTIC-AM for the vacationing Joe D'Ambrosio, who earlier this month said on-air that he would not renew his contract next year due to frustrations with the political climate.
During his television career, House has won several Emmy Awards, and he was inducted to the Silver Circle of the New England Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
