Police departments from around the country are taking part in a lip sync video challenge that has spread like wildfire across the Internet, and Connecticut is no exception. Here is a roundup of the lip sync videos posted by Connecticut police departments Patch has covered. Let us know who you think did it best, and be sure to vote in the poll at the bottom of the post!

North Branford Police Department

While many departments have typically settled on one song, the North Branford Police department went for a medley of popular songs, beginning with the popular 1999 Backstreet Boys' hit "I Want It That Way." In this beginning segment, a group of officers belt their hearts out (in a way) among rows of flowers, wearing matching white jackets to give the performance a boy band vibe.

The song quickly segues into the second segment set to Luke Bryan's 2015 country hit "Kick the Dirt Up." Here officers fit the song's country lyrics by joining groups of people in the back of trucks while cruising down a dirt road.

Large crowds of adults and children join officers for their silent rendition of "Happy" by Pharrell Williams and "Party Rock Anthem" by LMFAO. The video ends with a final performance of The Foundations' 1968 hit "Build Me Up Buttercup."

East Haven Police Department

East Haven officers also opted to go for a wide selection of songs to lip sync to, including Will Smith's seasonal anthem "Summertime" and "Bye Bye Bye" by NSYNC. There is also a small story line woven throughout of two officers trying to decide the best songs to use for the challenge.

North Haven Police Department

Officers took to the streets of North Haven to jam along to several hit songs, including "Stayin' Alive" by the Bee Gees and "What Is Love" by Haddaway. While the video features a number of hilarious moments, the highlight of the video is the ending, with large party scenes set to officers taking on the 1995 Montell Jordan track "This Is How We Do It." As a bonus, the video's end credits are set to the Queen song "We Are The Champions," indicating the department has already declared victory over the competition.

New Haven Police Department

One of Connecticut's largest police departments joined in on the lip sync challenge this month, although the video is the shortest out of the four. Despite this, the department was still able to fit three songs into the video, starting off with "Maria Maria" by Santana and segueing into Missy Elliott's "Lose Control." Officers bring it on home with Michael Jackson's 1988 hit "Man in the Mirror" in a touching finale.
