CT Sees Large Coronavirus Hospitalization Increase
The single-day increase was the largest since mid-April, when the state was still in the midst of its first wave.

CONNECTICUT — Connecticut saw a large jump in coronavirus hospitalizations Tuesday with a net increase of 41 patients for a total of 381. The single-day increase was the largest since mid-April, when the state was near the height of the first wave of the virus.
Hospitalizations increased the most in New Haven County, with a net increase of 15 patients, followed by Fairfield with a net increase of 14 patients.
The state also reported another 985 positive cases and a 4.6 percent positive test rate. Since the pandemic began, Connecticut has reported 74,843 cases. Seven more coronavirus-related deaths were reported, which brings the state’s death total up to 4,635.
