How Much Did You Get? CT Town-By-Town Snow Totals
Mother Nature confounded many morning commutes — and a number of weather forecasts — dropping close to a foot of snow on some CT towns.
CONNECTICUT, CT — A storm that proved to be a bit unpredictable to forecasters has hammered parts of the state, while leaving other towns cleaner than residents expected.
Hartford County appears to have borne the brunt of the snowstorm, with over 15 inches falling on West Hartford before 11:30 a.m. Most other areas were tallying snowfall at around a half-foot around noon.
Meteorologists were revising their predictions as late as Tuesday morning, with Hartford and Litchfield counties both seeing their forecasts downgraded, even as the white stuff piled higher and higher in the driveway.

The snow should end by late afternoon, and then colder temperatures dominate for the remainder of the week.
"Behind the storm system, tomorrow/Valentine’s Day, will be bright but blustery!" said WFSB 3 TV Chief Meteorologist Mark Dixon with Scot Haney. "We’ll start out with wind chill values 5-15° then recover to 15-25° during the afternoon as temps peak near 30. Thursday is still breezy. We’ll likely see temps peak between 35 and 40, we start bright then cloud cover increases. Then, a clipper passes through the region at night that could generate some light snow. Friday, morning clouds give way to clearing. It will still be breezy, with highs in the 30s. As of now, a weak disturbance could produce some light snow Saturday; regardless, it’s mostly cloudy. Sunday looks dry with a mix of sun and clouds. Monday appears partly to mostly sunny. Temperatures will remain near or below average for mid-February." (Read/watch more at WFSB 3 TV).

Gov. Ned Lamont said the travel ban on empty tractor trailers and tandem tractor trailers on Connecticut's limited access highways has been lifted.
"The storm is winding down, however the roads are slick and crews are clearing them. Stay home if you can and if you need to go out drive slow," Lamont said.
