Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued For Connecticut: What You Need To Know

The National Weather Service has issued an advisory and a hazardous weather outlook for Connecticut. Here's what you need to know.

CONNECTICUT — The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook and a frost advisory for interior sections of southern Connecticut and for all of Hartford/Tolland/Windham and Litchfield counties.

In a statement for interior sections of southern Connecticut the weather service said the frost advisory is in effect from midnight to 8 a.m. Sunday.

"Temperatures as low as 35 will result in frost formation," the weather service said, while adding that "Frost could kill sensitive outdoor vegetation if left uncovered."

For Hartford, Tolland and Windham counties, the weather service said the frost advisory is in effect from midnight to 8 a.m. Sunday.

"Temperatures as low as 32 will result in frost formation," the weather service said, while adding that "Frost could kill sensitive outdoor vegetation if left uncovered."

And in Litchfield County, the frost advisory is also in effect from midnight until 8 a.m. Sunday.

"Temperatures as low as 35 will result in frost formation," the weather service said. "Frost could kill sensitive outdoor vegetation if left uncovered."

Today: Partly sunny, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 57. Light northwest wind increasing to 5 to 10 mph in the morning.

Tonight: Areas of frost after midnight. Otherwise, clear, with a low around 36. Light and variable wind.

Sunday: Patchy frost before 9am. Otherwise, sunny, with a high near 60. Light west wind increasing to 6 to 11 mph in the morning.

Sunday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 38. Light west wind.

Today: Sunny, with a high near 59. Northwest wind 7 to 9 mph.

Tonight: Clear, with a low around 39. Northwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 63. Light southwest wind becoming west 5 to 9 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.

Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 43. West wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.
