Rain, Storms Forecast For Labor Day Weekend In CT: What You Need To Know
If you have outdoor Labor Day weekend plans in Connecticut, here's what you need to know about the forecast and when to expect rain.

CONNECTICUT — It looks like if you have outdoor weekend plans, Saturday is the best of the three days. Sunshine and temperatures around 80 degrees are forecast.
On Sunday, it will be a mix of sun and clouds, with rain showers and possibly thunderstorms developing in the afternoon and evening, the National Weather Service said.
Showers and storms are forecast late Sunday and off-and-on on Labor Day. It doesn't appear to be a washout, but rain is expected to fall during the day on Labor Day.

WFSB 3 TV meteorologists said we should enjoy the "comfortable" weather Saturday as "humidity makes a comeback for the rest of the weekend."
On Sunday, WFSB 3 TV meteorologists said the morning should be dry, but in the afternoon "we will see some showers and isolated storms." None of the storms are forecast to be strong or severe, the meteorologists said.

And as for Labor Day, it "is expected to be the wettest day of the holiday weekend." Up to 1.5 inches of rain is possible from Sunday through Tuesday, WFSB 3 TV reported. (Watch the WFSB 3 TV weather forecast here).

Today: Mostly sunny, with a high near 79. Light and variable wind becoming southeast 5 to 8 mph in the morning.
Sunday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 84. Calm wind becoming southwest 5 to 8 mph in the morning.
Sunday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 68. South wind around 6 mph becoming calm in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
Labor Day: A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 2pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 78. Calm wind becoming southeast 5 to 7 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 50%.

Labor Day: A chance of showers, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 2pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 78. Calm wind becoming southeast around 6 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Labor Day: Showers likely before 11am, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm between 11am and 1pm, then showers after 1pm. High near 73. Calm wind becoming southeast around 6 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 80%.
