Employee Stole $20K In Scratch Lottery Tickets From Store: Wolcott Police
An employee is accused of stealing more than $20,000 in scratch lottery tickets and $700 worth of cigarettes from a store, police said.
WOLCOTT, CT — An employee is accused of stealing more than $20,000 in scratch lottery tickets and $700 worth of cigarettes from a liquor store in Wolcott, according to police.
Police were notified in December of thefts that were taking place at North End Liquors in Wolcott.
“It had been discovered that scratch lottery tickets, as well as cigarettes were missing,” according to police.

Police said an investigation found that throughout 2025 more than $20,000 in scratch tickets, and $700 worth of cigarettes were stolen.
Through surveillance video, police said the suspect was identified as employee Jennifer Roberts, 42, of Bristol.

“Upon being confronted concerning the thefts, Jennifer confessed that she did steal the scratch tickets and cigarettes,” police wrote in a news release.
Roberts was arrested Tuesday on a warrant and charged with first-degree larceny. She was held in lieu of a $10,000 bond.
