Fire Damages Several Businesses At CT Shopping Center
All businesses at the plaza will be closed for the foreseeable future, fire officials said.
HARWINTON, CT — Several businesses were damaged when a fire broke out at a shopping plaza in Harwinton early Wednesday morning, according to fire officials.
Firefighters responded to the call reporting a fire at 157 Litchfield Road for smoke coming from a building in the Kasznay Shopping Center at 2:10 a.m. A state trooper had spotted the smoke and called it in.
Firefighters arrived to find a working fire in the area of Daily Mart, a convenience store. Daily Mart sustained heavy fire damage. Hometown Pizza and an ice cream parlor had heavy smoke damage.

Fire departments from Burlington, Terryville, South End (Nepaud Bakerville and Torrington all assisted.
There were no injuries reported.
The fire marshal is investigating the cause of the blaze.
