Former Connecticut TV News Anchor Reveals Her New Job
Lauren Zenzie left her on-air gig at FOX 61 abruptly about three weeks ago. Now we know where she has landed.
CONNECTICUT — The popular Connecticut news reporter who announced her sudden departure from FOX 61 about three weeks ago has revealed where she landed.
Lauren Zenzie told followers on social media she is accepting a job as a "digital storytelling producer" with Avelo Airlines.
In her new gig, the Eastern Connecticut State University grad and part-time bridal makeup artist will be producing public relations materials for the airline.

"I will be telling all of the stories of Avelo. Where we travel, all of the behind the scenes of the business, who travels on our airlines, and everything in between!" she posted on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Zenzie worked as a traffic reporter and fill-in anchor for Fox 61's morning newscasts since December 2020. She was officially promoted to the position of traffic anchor last year, according to her LinkedIn page. Prior to her job at FOX 61, she worked at NBC affiliate stations in North Dakota and Massachusetts.

Avelo is an ultra low-cost airline headquartered in Houston, TX. It previously flew charter flights as Casino Express Airlines and Xtra Airways, before rebranding as Avelo Airlines in 2021 and switching to scheduled operations.
Making the announcement of her the new job on Facebook, Zenzie said she was "so excited" to be able to continue to do what she was passionate about.
