CT Weather: Heat Advisory Issued For Next 2 Days
The National Weather Service issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for the next two days in Connecticut.

A Heat Advisory is in effect for all of Connecticut for Labor Day and Tuesday as temps soar into the 90s and the heat index may hit 100 degrees. On the bright side, it should be dry and mainly sunny through Thursday before rain may return at the end of the week.
For Southern Connecticut, the weather service says a heat advisory is in effect from noon today to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
* HEAT INDEX VALUES...In the upper 90s due to temperatures in the lower 90s, and dewpoints in the lower 70s.

* TIMING...During the afternoon and early evening hours both today and Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Extreme heat can cause illness and death among at- risk population who cannot stay cool. The heat and humidity may cause heat stress during outdoor exertion or extended exposure.

For Northern Connecticut, the weather service says a heat advisory remains in effect from noon today to 6 p.m. Tuesday.
* HEAT INDEX VALUES...Up to 100 due to temperatures in the lower 90s, and dewpoints around 70.
* TIMING...Between noon and 6 pm on both today and Tuesday afternoons.
* IMPACTS...Heat and humidity may cause heat stress during outdoor exertion or extended exposure.
* LOCATION...Most of southern New England where afternoon heat index values are expected to reach or exceed 95 degrees on both today and Tuesday afternoons.
