Helping Brides Smile Bright on Their Special Day this Wedding Season

Wethersfield Dental Group Offers Half-Off Teeth Whitening Through Sept. 30th

Wedding season is in full bloom with August and September among the most popular months of the year to marry. In total, 2.3 million couples wed every year in the U.S., which breaks down to nearly 6,200 weddings per day. On her wedding day, a bride will hopefully smile more than any other day of her life. To ensure every bride’s smile is as white as her dress, Dr. Ukti Phadnis of Wethersfield Dental Group is offering half price teeth whitening for brides from now through Sept. 30th.

The in-office, one-hour Zoom teeth whitening procedure is valued at $500. The special promotion will require a deposit of $250, but after a $50 rebate, the total out of pocket cost will be only $200. Results from professional treatments offer the best results. Improvement can be immediate, up to 8 shades whiter, and because a dental professional is involved, the process is safe, reliable and hassle free.

“This simple procedure can make all the difference on a bride’s special day,” said Dr. Phadnis. “She’ll be able to admire her white smile for years to come when she looks back at her wedding album.”

There are numerous types of teeth stains; some are genetic, environmental or pharmacological in nature. The most common are surface stains on the enamel or beneath the enamel in the dentin. Surface stains are caused by foods, beverages and lifestyle behaviors, like smoking. Over time, the surface stains may penetrate the enamel and darken the overall appearance of the tooth.

“Over the counter whitening toothpastes and kits often only treat the surface enamel. Professional products include hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide that breaks apart the carbon bonds that create yellow stains. Once the bonds are broken, they no longer reflect a yellow color,” Dr. Phadnis explained.

Dr. Phadnis notes that before any type of whitening treatment, it is imperative to make sure there's no active decay in the mouth. Patients are required to have a comprehensive exam, x-rays and dental insurance in order to participate. There is limited appointment availability for new patients only.

For the bride-to-be and her fiancée who may not have comprehensive dental coverage, Wethersfield Dental Group offers a low cost in-office dental insurance program that provides care for the entire family.
