CONNECTICUT — The Nutmeg State isn't doing too shabby: Connecticut ranked fifth among "Best States to Live In."

The list comes from HubScore, a marketing firm. In the top spot was New Hampshire. On the other end of the spectrum, New Mexico ranked dead last.

The study examined states in terms of economic opportunities, healthcare, quality of education, safety, and more. Hubscore used a "Livability Index" to give each state a numerical score out of 100, allowing for direct comparisons between states. States were compared based on 61 metrics, each with a score of 0 to 100.
