Police are investigating after a baby was seriously injured​ in Plainfield on Wednesday night.

PLAINFIELD, CT — Police are investigating after a baby was seriously injured in Plainfield on Wednesday night, according to NBC CT. Police executed a search warrant on South Chestnut Street based on reports that a 5-month-old child suffered severe injuries.

The Department of Children and Families told NBC CT that the baby was admitted to Connecticut Children's Medical Center.

No further information about the case has been released.
