The driver of the Porsche sustained minor injuries, but refused additional medical attention. State Police C.A.R.S. Unit responded to assist in the investigation. This crash remains under investigation and anyone with information regarding the crash is requested to contact Troop L.

Peter Spangenberg of Colonial Lawn and Garden in Litchfield, told the Republican-American that he visited Brienza in the hospital and said her "recovery is what’s most important right now. The trailer and truck can be replaced, but a life can’t.”

Brienza was loading equipment into the truck at the time of the crash, the Rep-Am reported.
