CT Weather: Big Temperature Warm Up, Then Rain For Days

Hope you're enjoying the Super Bowl and as we hit halftime the reality sinks in that we have to go to work/school on Monday. The day after the Super Bowl should be a national holiday, but since it isn't, Mother Nature has decided to give us an amazing winter weather forecast for the beginning of the week.

We can look forward to sunny skies and 50 degree temps Monday. Tuesday is even better with temps in the upper 50s to near 60 degrees. But things go downhill fast beginning Wednesday night and continuing on Thursday and Friday.

Connecticut is looking at a lot of rain over that stormy period of time. The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for Northern Connecticut for the "potential for a period of icing in the form of freezing rain and sleet ... Wednesday night into Friday. This may eventually require the need for winter weather headlines, but a lot of uncertainty remains."

Southern Connecticut is looking at all rain at this point in time. No accumulating snow is in the forecast through at least next weekend.
