CT Weather: Fall-Like For 2 Days, Then Hot And Humid Again

If you haven't stepped outside yet this morning you'll be pleasantly surprised when you do so. The humidity has broken and it feels like a perfect fall-like day in Connecticut with sunshine and temps in the upper 70s.

That nice weather lasts for 48 hours and on Sunday temps will rise into the upper 70s and that warmup will continue through much of next week with temps in the upper 70s to near 80 degrees. We'll go from fall to back to summer time weather in just 48 hours.

"A noticeably cooler and drier air mass will prevail as high pressure builds to the north then gradually shifts offshore through Saturday. Highs will generally be in the 60s to lower 70s. Lows will be coolest tonight in the upper 40s to upper 50s, then gradually rise into the mid 50s to lower 60s for Saturday night," the National Weather Service says.

WTNH News 8 Meteorologist Gil Simmons says, "Nice fall weather all day long today! Sunshine with a breeze and temperatures in the 60s! Dry & turning chilly this evening. A good weekend with temperatures 65 to 70° for Saturday. More clouds and warmer with 70s on Sunday!"
