Man Accused Of Voyeurism, Possession Of Child Sexual Abuse Material: Plainfield PD
A man is accused of engaging in acts of voyeurism after images of child sexual abuse material were found on his cellphone, police said.
PLAINFIELD, CT — A Plainfield man is accused of engaging in acts of voyeurism after images of child sexual abuse material were found on his cellphone, according to police.
The Plainfield Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit began investigating 34-year-old Jeremy Merrill in October after receiving a report of voyeurism involving a juvenile victim, according to police.
Police obtained a search-and-seizure warrant to conduct an extraction on Merril’s cellphone.

Through investigation and review of Merrill’s cellphone, police said he “engaged in acts of voyeurism obtaining several image and video files that were determined to be Child Sexual Abuse Material,” according to a news release.

Merrill was arrested Feb. 13 on a warrant and charged with voyeurism with malice, risk of injury to a child, and possession of child sexual abuse material. He was held in lieu of a $200,000 bond.
